Identification Badges

Choose a campus for I.D. office information and how to get a new badge or replace a lost or stolen one.

East Baltimore Campus
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
Howard County General Hospital

Important security note:

  • Wear your I.D. visibly displayed at all times.
  • Replace it immediately if it is lost or stolen.
  • Identification badges and passes assist us in determining who belongs in the Institutions and who does not. Individuals walking around without an I.D. or a pass should be everyone's concern.
  • Do not allow anyone to gain access to a controlled area by granting unauthorized double entrance from your I.D. Access is granted to certain areas based on security clearances.

Policy on I.D. photographs:

  • Non-photo identification badges – As of July 1, 1994, this office will no longer issue non-photo identification badges of any type, excluding cases of religious beliefs that restrict having an individual's picture taken.
  • For security purposes, the Photo I.D. Office reserves the right to retake an individual's I.D. photograph if:
    • The photograph is four (4) years old or older
    • There is a substantial change in physical appearance
    • The photo retake fee will be waived in these circumstances
